Hawaii Plaza was a 60-unit mixed-use development located in San Gabriel, CA, and was 82% completed as of June of 2023. Consisting of Type V construction with two levels of Type I subterranean parking, and first floor commercial retail space and parking, one podium with four levels of residential units, manager office, restaurant/retail space, outside courtyard for residents, and outside terrace on the 4th level. This building also contained components related to Type III construction. BCI was involved in the project from the early stages of design development participating in constructability review, budgeting, design, permitting, city clearances, financing and construction. Scope of work included all necessary construction trades, including and not limited to all necessary trade/building inspections, coordination with city municipalities, such as City of San Gabriel, Edison, and San Gabriel Fire Department. Instrumental in resolving design discrepancies and field related issues.
